Last post by Ronnief - September 26, 2026, 07:10:11 PMi always enjoyed standing in the enclosure, the atmosfear there was always good. Getting on a bit now approaching my 79th year I sit in block GL with a very good view. I would be unable to stand for a match now.
I support standing areas and particularly in tha Hammy end. The future implementation of a standing area in the away end is sensible as away team supporters always stand. A standing area for Fulham fans is also needed and should be implemented as soon as possible. I hope I can continue to sit where I do but if not i will continue to attend matches but will have to sit.

The football authorities (and government to an extent) have a huge job on their hands on not allowing this to spiral out of control and ruin the country's most treasured pastime and a huge asset for an otherwise beleaguered economy. Justice must be done and be seen to be done, but then everyone needs to move on and get on with the football. If it's allowed to sink into legal campaigns to award trophies to teams that came second etc and all manner of other things, we'll wake up and find the PL is on par with Serie A as another formerly leading European league.

I guess the safe standing section is built at the back of the stand right if not the people behind the safe standing section in seats who are and wish to remain seated would have to stand up the whole or most of the game because the people in front in the safe standing bit are standing !
Then if it's built at the back of the stand and it's introduced for atmosphere then the sound has to travel all the way from the back of the stand and people have said on here say they couldn't hear the Chelsea (I didn't go to that game) but I certainly heard the Man U fans on Sunday , but it would maybe make the atmosphere worse ?
